2013 U.P. State Fair Junior Steer Pre-Entry Information

The U.P. State Fair deadline for Junior Preliminary Steer Entry is coming up next month. Please read the cover letter provided in the link below, read the show rules as some things have changed for this year, and fill out the pre-entry form completely before submitting.
The deadline is Friday, February 15th.
The U.P. State Fair is collecting hair samples for DNA testing with their pre-entry forms. Bags will labels are available at the MSU Extension office. So, please call and we can mail them or stop and pick them up.

4-H Recreational Leadership Workshop

4-H Teen and Adult Leaders: Are you interested in improving your leadership skills- especially in the area of recreation? Do you want to help improve the Marquette County 4-H Camp program?

This workshop is for 4-H adult leaders and teen leaders (13 years and older) interested in Recreational Leadership, infusing fun into their clubs, serving as camp counselors and who are willing to share the information and experiences gained at the conference with others in their counties. MSU Extension staff is also welcome. We encourage individuals to car pool. Contact your county office for names of other persons attending the workshop.

Mark of Excellence

4-H Ski Nights at Marquette Mountain

Do you love to ski? Have you never tried it but would love to give it a shot? Now is your chance to enjoy yourself with little cost involved! Marquette Mountain has provided 4-H with our second season of ski nights. The links below are three flyers (one for each night) which serves as a coupon. From 4:00 p.m. till 8:30 p.m. on each of these nights you can present the appropriate flyer to get a lift ticket and ski rentals for just $15. Family members of 4-Hers also only pay $15 for a lift ticket and rental!

4-H Teen Leadership & Community Change Conference

January 19-20, 2013

Teens are you interested in being a leader in your club, community or school?  Do you want to be part of a movement where teens lead? If yes, to either if these questions, then we have a workshop for you!!!  It’s called the 4-H Teen Leadership & Community Change Conference on January 19-20, 2013 at Kettunen Center near Tustin, Michigan. Registration is open to teens (age 13 and up) and their adult chaperones.  Hurry, don’t delay, registration closes on January 9, 2013.
