Marquette County 4-H Chicken Club

Marquette County 4-H is starting a brand new 4-H club for youth (ages 5-19) who are interested in learning more about chickens and hanging out with other kids who do! An introductory club meeting is scheduled for this Wednesday (May 4) - 6:30 pm in the Shiras Room on the 2nd floor of the Peter White Public Library.

As this is a new club, youth will help to decide what types of activities the club will do and how often they will meet. Adults are needed to help lead the club. If you are interested in participating in the club (as a youth member or an adult leader), please attend the May 4 meeting or contact Brian Wibby at the Marquette County MSU Extension office.

The Marquette County Plat Book Sale is the 4-H Council's biggest fundraiser, providing multiple opportunities for youth and volunteers every year. Please support our local youth and the 4-H Program by purchasing a plat book. Click here for a list of local vendors.

Each year, youth 4-H members and adult volunteers need to complete enrollment.

Each youth is charged an annual Participation Fee of $20.00 to join 4-H (with a maximum of $60.00 per family). However, this year, the price has been cut in half for our first 200 members to get enrolled. Thanks to a generous donation from First Bank, the first $10 of each member's participation fee has been covered! Checks can be written to your club or to MSU.
