The Future We Want:
A Youth Leadership & Global Citizenship Workshop
When and where:
June 14, 2016 - 5:00 - 6:30 p.m. (Food and refreshments will be provided!)Marquette County MSU Extension Office - 184 US Highway 41 East, Negaunee, MI 49866 (The MSU Extension office is located in the Marquette County building next to the Michigan State Police Post)
Who:
This workshop is open to all youth ages 10 and older and adult volunteers/parents. You do not have to be a current 4-H member to participate! All are welcome!
Cost:
Free! Food and refreshments will be provided!
What will participants do at this workshop?
Are you a youth who wants to make the world a better place? If so, you'll want to participate in this
exciting, interactive workshop that will focus on ways you and other young people can take action on
some of the most urgent issues facing our global community! World leaders from 193 countries have
committed to the Sustainable Development Goals; 17 interconnected goals that seek to achieve
extraordinary things by the year 2030 to make our world a better place for everyone. Participants in this
workshop will learn ways that youth can take action as global citizens to help solve global challenges
during this fun and active workshop! The future depends on what we do in the present. We hope you'll
join other young people, and others around the world, in making the future great, now!
