Top Questions About 4-H
1. What is 4-H?
4-H
is a volunteer educational organization for boys and girls aged 5 to 19 years
old. 4-H is open to all regardless of race, color, national origin, gender,
gender identity, religion, age, height, weight, disability, political beliefs,
sexual orientation, marital status, family status or veteran status.
2. Why do kids like 4-H?
Because it’s fun! Kids have the opportunity to belong to a special club
of their own, that meets their own interests. They learn while enjoying
themselves with friends at meetings, social activities, tours, and fairs.
3. Do I have to have an animal to join?
Absolutely not! You don’t even have to own an animal to join an animal
club. A 4-H club can revolve around almost any interest at all! Kids learn,
have fun, and participate in many different areas like photography and sewing.
The sky is the limit!!
4. How can I join 4-H?
Just contact Liana Graves at the MSU Extension office at 906-475-5731 or
906-315-2663.
